About MeetNote
Built by one person, for everyone who hates meeting bots.
Who built this
Hi, I'm Ethan. I'm a CS freshman at UMass Lowell and I built MeetNote entirely on my own. No team, no funding, no company behind it. Just me, a laptop, and a frustration I couldn't shake.
Why I built it
Every meeting notes tool I tried had the same problem: it joins your call as a bot. Suddenly there's a stranger in the room named "Notetaker" or "Otter.ai" and everyone notices. Some people get uncomfortable. Some meetings get awkward.
I just wanted something that worked quietly: record the meeting, get the summary, move on. No bots, no accounts required to try it, no enterprise sales pitch. I couldn't find that, so I built it.
What makes it different
- +No bot joins your call. MeetNote records audio directly on your computer. Nobody on the call sees anything.
- +Works with any platform. Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, or any audio or video file you upload. If you can hear it, MeetNote can transcribe it.
- +Mac and Windows. Both platforms, fully supported.
- +Privacy-first. Your recordings are not sold. They are not used to train AI models. You can delete everything at any time.
- +Simple. Record or upload, wait a few minutes, get your summary. That's it.
Where things are headed
MeetNote is early. There's a lot I want to add: better search, calendar integration, team sharing. But the core will always be the same: no bots, no friction, your meeting data stays yours.
