What MeetNote does

MeetNote is a desktop and web app that records or accepts uploaded audio and video files, transcribes them, and generates summaries and action items using AI. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what controls you have.

What we collect

We collect the minimum needed to run the service:

• +Account information. Your email address when you sign up for a Pro account.
• +Audio and video files. Files you upload or record are sent to our servers for transcription and processing.
• +Transcripts and summaries. The output we generate is stored in your account so you can access it later.
• +Usage data. Basic analytics like how many meetings you process per month, to enforce plan limits.

What we do not collect

• ×We do not join your calls or meetings as a bot. No one on your call is aware of MeetNote unless you tell them.
• ×We do not sell your data to third parties.
• ×We do not use your recordings, transcripts, or summaries to train AI models.
• ×We do not track you across other websites or apps.

How we use your data

Your audio files are processed on our servers to produce transcripts and summaries. Once processing is complete, your files and outputs are stored in your account. We do not access your meeting content except to deliver the service or investigate a reported technical issue, and only with your permission.

Data retention

Free accounts retain meeting data for 30 days. Pro accounts retain data indefinitely until deleted. You can delete individual meetings or your entire account at any time from your account settings. Deletion is permanent.

Third-party services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate MeetNote: a cloud provider for storage and compute, a payment processor for Pro subscriptions, and an AI provider for transcription and summarization. Each of these processes data only as needed to deliver their specific function. We do not share your data with any other third parties.

Your rights

You can export or delete your data at any time from your account settings. If you have questions or want to request deletion and do not have account access, email us at privacy@trymeetnote.com.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email or with a notice in the app before the changes take effect.
